Education lies at the heart of the NUA’s mission - from learning new upholstery skills and techniques, to learning better business practices. The NUA offers multiple learning opportunities.

Our on-line events offer convenient viewing from anywhere. The monthly webinar series brings industry experts that speak on a variety of topics related to upholstery. Community meetings offer monthly opportunities to talk face-to-face (online) with fellow professionals, in order to share and learn together. Finally, the quarterly newsletter keeps our members up to speed with everything going on with the NUA.

In 2024, the NUA will be at the Furniture Manufacturing Expo in June and the Custom Workroom Conference in September.

The NUA hosts a monthly Upholstery Community Meeting via Zoom each month. The time and day changes each month, so check the calendar for upcoming dates. This is a live discussion with fellow upholstery colleagues that provides an opportunity to learn and share from each other. Each month has a different theme for discussion.

To attend, register for a Community Meeting through the Events Calendar. You will then receive a confirmation email containing the Zoom meeting details.
