How Did We Measure Up? Thank you to all our members who completed our very first NUA Member Survey in April. We had a 35% response rate, which is very good for a general survey. Click the button for a summary of the results, which include what members like most, like least, and what they'd like to see done differently!
To honor the NUA's second birthday, we're highlighting the business anniversaries of our amazing members. Congratulations on your continued success and thank your for your important contributions to our industry and trade!

Summer Series on Work Flow (Part 2 of 2)
Jul. 27 at 1pm EST
Let's discuss scheduling changes. How do you prioritize? How do you handle backordered fabric or foam? How do you re-schedule someone that hasn't made a fabric decision? This is the second part of the discussion of Work Flow in your Upholstery Business.
In recognition of our colleagues’ stand-out efforts, one volunteer will be recognized for work that goes above and beyond the call of duty in each quarterly newsletter and at the end of each year. Nominations are welcome any time during the year.
Volunteer of the Quarter, Q3 2021
As a professional upholsterer, Michelle is widely recognized for her creative eye and meticulous attention to detail. She has been involved with the NUA since the beginning, and has made a huge contribution to our organization!
Instrumental in building the foundation of the NUA's social media and marketing program, her passion for design and supporting and encouraging fellow upholsterers has shined through in her role as leader of the Public Relations committee.
Outside of the NUA, Michelle runs Blue Roof Cabin, a custom upholstery business that was born out of her creativity and passion to achieve the perfect signature piece.
"For me it’s all about giving new life to the old and discarded. My favorite client projects are those that are family or just special pieces with a story."
Please help us congratulate Michelle as the NUA Volunteer of the Quarter! She will be receiving a recognition gift for her contribution.
The NUA's Webinar Committee collates fresh content every month to highlight the expertise of our community and to enrich our members with tools, skills, and resources.
